Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years in workers' compensation defense preferred.
• Relevant litigation experience and ability to manage cases independently.
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
• Comfortable working remotely while collaborating with a legal team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Pennsylvania workers' compensation defense matters from initial review through resolution.
• Review case files, medical records, and legal documents to develop defense strategies.
• Advise employers, carriers, and adjusters on case developments and resolutions.
• Represent clients at hearings and depositions, many remotely.
• Draft briefs, petitions, motions, and other documents.
• Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and a 2,000-hour annual billing target.

Note

An active Pennsylvania Bar license is required. Workers' compensation defense experience is strongly preferred, ideally 1+ years, but we also welcome attorneys with relevant litigation backgrounds who are interested in developing their expertise in this practice area.
