Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or work experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting, workers compensation preferred.
• Experience managing agency relationships, pipelines, and territory plans.

Responsibilities

• Owns an assigned agency territory and book of business with profitability and retention responsibilities.
• Evaluates workers compensation submissions by analyzing class codes, payroll, loss runs, and risk factors.
• Underwrites decisions within authority and escalates risks as needed.
• Prices new and renewal business per guidelines balancing growth and profitability.
• Develops agency partnership plans, including goals, pipelines, and account strategies.
• Conducts regular agency visits and producer meetings to align expectations and commitments.
• Identifies opportunities to expand profitable workers compensation production through channels.
• Presents proposals with clear underwriting decisions and coverage terms.
• Maintains knowledge of territory, competitors, and market trends.
