Hennessy & Roach, P.C. in Indianapolis, IN seeks an attorney with 2+ years defending workers' compensation and general liability to join our Indianapolis office.

The candidate will handle depositions, review medical records, draft pleadings and motions, conduct discovery, and negotiate settlements for employer/insurer clients.

Indiana bar admission is required; strong knowledge of state and federal law, proficiency in Word/Outlook, and familiarity with Perfect Law are preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. and admission to Indiana bar.
• 2+ years defending workers’ compensation or general liability cases.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with Word and Outlook; Perfect Law experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and review medical evidence and records.
• Take depositions of claimants, physicians, and experts.
• Conduct discovery and perform legal research.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Litigate workers’ compensation before an administrative law judge.
• Represent employer/insurer at hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Assist with accident investigations and cost management.
• Submit reports to company management and negotiate settlements.
