Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist I for the Northeast region. The role offers a hybrid schedule from Parsippany or Boston, or a fully remote setup in multiple states including Vermont.

You will handle multi-party WC claims of varying exposure, documenting claims, evaluating liability and coverage, and negotiating settlements within authority limits. The position requires related degree or apprenticeship plus 2+ years in claims, strong analytical and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or Zurich Apprentice with 2+ years in Claims/Insurance.
• HS diploma with 4+ years in Claims/Insurance may apply.
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses and complete Zurich training.

Responsibilities

• Document claims file by updating data per best practices for low-to-moderate exposure claims.
• Assess liability and coverage by analyzing facts and applicable policies.
• Develop case strategy and reserves within authority limits to resolve claims timely.
• Negotiate settlements using approved tools and guidelines.
• Meet quality standards by following established claims processes.
