Job summary

Pima County is seeking a Training and Development Officer to join the Department of Human Resources. The role focuses on configuring and maintaining Workday LMS and Performance Management, and on developing learning solutions for a large internal audience.

The successful candidate will design and deliver instructor-led and online courses, collaborate with County departments, and drive continuous improvement of training programs and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and two years of professional experience developing or evaluating lesson plans and training in adult education.
• Two years with Pima County in a Training and Education Coordinator II Department position may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update instructor-led training (ILT) including PowerPoint, Storyline, and job-aids.
• Facilitate training for County staff in classrooms or virtual settings.
• Plan and update curricula for HR, Organizational Development, Employee Development, Career Development and Leadership.
• Create, test, and maintain online courses and e-learning content with SCORM compliance.
• Ensure curriculum quality, accuracy, and clarity for learners across departments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into workable Workday configurations.
