Job summary

Fastly is seeking a People Systems Architect to serve as the internal Workday functional SME, partnering with the People team to configure and extend Workday capabilities for digital transformation and data insights. You will implement new functionality, optimize existing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable HR solutions and accurate reporting across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive Workday or HR technology experience.
• Deep Workday configuration experience in at least three areas including Compensation.
• Experience with EIBs, reporting, and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR technology projects of varying complexity, including the annual compensation cycle and performance reviews.
• Partner with People COEs and stakeholders to identify process improvements and solutions.
• Gather, clarify, and document business requirements and translate them into process designs and delivery plans.
• Configure and optimize Workday business processes, calculated fields, and security across assigned areas.
• Manage testing, define scenarios, and coordinate cross-functional UAT.
• Create and maintain Workday reports; build dashboards using Prism Analytics or Discovery Board when applicable.
• Manage EIBs and data loads, ensuring validation and reconciliation.
• Provide Tier 2/3 Workday support and drive issue resolution.
• Lead or support release readiness, impact assessments, and adoption of new functionality.
• Own ongoing administration and health of Workday across functional areas, including data quality and integrations.
• Collaborate with People leadership to prioritize requests and contribute to the roadmap.
• Maintain configuration and training materials for operational continuity.
