Job summary

The City of Seattle’s Information Technology department seeks a Workday Product Operations Manager to drive the vision, governance, and operational excellence of the Workday HCM platform. You will lead configuration, integrations, reporting, security, data governance, testing, release management, and data conversion, partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, HR, or related field; substitution possible with experience.
• 7+ years of Workday HCM or enterprise HRIS experience, including leadership.
• Strong functional and technical Workday knowledge including configuration and integrations.
• Experience as a product manager/owner for an enterprise application (Workday preferred).
• Proven ability to define roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and align requirements.
• Ability to lead cross-functional decision‑making and represent enterprise needs.

Responsibilities

• Own Workday product vision, roadmap, governance, and prioritization.
• Oversee daily Workday operations: configuration, testing, and release activities.
• Lead data conversion strategy, integrations, reporting, and security.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT Security, Internal Audit and HR leaders.
• Develop training and end-user readiness programs and change management plans.
• Mentor Workday analysts and technical specialists to promote high performance.
