Job summary

The City of Seattle’s IT department seeks a Workday Product Operations Manager to lead the Workday HCM program, driving governance, modernization, and operational excellence. You will guide configuration, integrations, reporting, security, data governance, testing, and releases while aligning with city needs.

You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT Security, and Internal Audit to optimize processes, manage roadmaps, and ensure readiness for semiannual releases and major modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, HR or related field.
• 7+ years of Workday HCM or enterprise HRIS experience.
• Experience leading HR technology teams and driving operational improvements.
• Demonstrated product manager/owner experience for enterprise apps.
• Ability to define product roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and translate needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Workday HCM product owner with vision, roadmap, governance.
• Oversee configuration, integrations, testing, and release activities.
• Lead data conversion strategy including mapping, transformation, and validation.
• Manage Workday security, roles, access controls, and audits.
• Oversee reporting strategy, dashboards, and compliance reporting.
• Plan and execute change management, training, and end-user readiness.
• Lead cross-functional HR, Payroll, Finance partnerships for the platform.
• Mentor Workday analysts and drive a high-performance culture.
• Coordinate with vendors, Workday support, and enterprise stakeholders.
