Job summary

Harris in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking a Human Capital + Payroll Analyst to manage Workday employee lifecycle transactions, review timecards, and payroll data to ensure weekly payroll moves on time. You will collaborate with Human Capital, Payroll, Operations and Accounting, research wage requirements and union agreements, and act as a resource for employees and leaders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with confidential Human Capital, payroll, or employee data.
• Familiarity with employee lifecycle processes, payroll administration, or HR systems.
• Detail oriented with ability to research wage requirements and union agreements.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday (hire, transfer, promotion, changes, exemptions, termination).
• Review timecards, wage, union, and payroll information for weekly processing.
• Research union agreements and prevailing wage requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Respond to questions, resolve discrepancies with cross-functional teams, and document changes.
• Provide backup support for onboarding, payroll processing, and related HR activities.
