Job summary

Vale Global is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking Lead to own delivery across Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking. The role includes leading design sessions, configuring and testing, and supporting customers through go-live.

You will run requirements workshops, provide hands-on configuration, and advise on Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits and Core HCM connections. Strong leadership and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Workday Payroll experience with Absence and Time Tracking.
• Experience leading end-to-end Workday implementations.
• Current Workday Partner certification.
• Workday US/Canada Payroll certification.
• Hands-on configuration and solution design experience.
• Experience leading customer workshops and managing senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently within a delivery team.

Vale Global is supporting global organization looking for an experienced Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking Lead.

This opportunity can be offered on either a full-time or contract basis,

You'll work directly with customers and take ownership of Workday delivery across Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking. This will include leading design sessions, overseeing configuration and testing, managing key delivery decisions and supporting customers through go-live.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking delivery.
• Run requirements gathering and solution design workshops with customers.
• Provide hands-on configuration and support throughout the implementation.
• Advise customers on the connections between Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits and Core HCM.
• Lead testing, issue resolution, deployment and go-live activities.
• Identify delivery risks and help customers make practical design decisions.
• Work closely with functional, technical and project delivery teams.
• Support and mentor more junior Workday consultants.
• Provide guidance during post-production support and optimization work when required.

What we're looking for:

• Strong Workday Payroll experience, alongside Absence and Time Tracking.
• Lead experience across full Workday implementations.
• Current Workday Partner certification.
• Workday US Payroll or Canadian Payroll certification.
• Strong hands-on configuration and solution design experience.
• Experience leading customer workshops and managing senior stakeholders.
• A good understanding of payroll processes, calculations, compliance and the wider HCM landscape.
• Confidence working independently while contributing to a wider delivery team.
• Based in the United States or Canada.
