Job summary

Ovintiv is seeking a Workday Learning & Training Governance Specialist for a six-to-12-month project-based contract. You will clean up and standardize training data, administer Workday Learning, validate large datasets, and document governance rules.

The role requires collaboration with the Talent Management team and cross-functional partners. Responsibilities include configuring learner programs, auditing records, and reducing manual work to improve data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in HR, business, information systems or a related field.
• Knowledge of learning management system administration.
• Workday Learning knowledge strongly preferred.
• Data management skills, including validating large datasets and correcting issues.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, data comparisons and large data files.
• Familiarity with learner assignments, training matrices, course catalogs, curriculum structures or learning governance.
• Strong organization, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and collaboration with technical and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Review and standardize role-based training requirements from spreadsheets and legacy sources into a standard structure.
• Validate learner profiles, audiences, assignments and completion records and correct data issues.
• Configure and maintain learner populations, programs, dynamic audiences and assignment rules based on role, location and work tags.
• Process and validate mass uploads, learning record corrections and other high-volume maintenance activities.
• Document business rules, naming standards, assignment logic, governance requirements and updated processes.
• Identify ways to reduce manual work and improve the accuracy and auditability of training records.
