Our client seeks a Workday Integration and Support Engineer to support and improve Workday Financials, HCM, Payroll, Planning, and related enterprise systems. The role will partner with Finance, IT, HR, Payroll, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure reliable operations, resolve production issues, maintain integrations and reporting, and deliver practical system improvements that support business needs.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and support Workday integrations with internal and external systems.
- Build and troubleshoot integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Workday Studio, Orchestrate, PECI, PICOF, WECI, APIs, SFTP, XML, XSLT, and XPath.
- Improve integration reliability, scalability, documentation, and support procedures.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve Workday incidents, service requests, integration failures, and data issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, document resolutions, elevate problems when needed, and communicate status clearly.
- Support ITIL/ITSM processes and contribute ideas to improve service quality and operational stability.
- Support Workday migrations, testing, release validation, change control, and production deployments.
- Validate integration performance, data accuracy, report outputs, security access, and business process changes.
- Coordinate releases, enhancements, and operational changes with stakeholders and change control teams.
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday reports, calculated fields, security configuration, and data extracts.
- Support data mapping, conversion, reconciliation, validation, and issue resolution across Workday and downstream financial systems.
- Partner with business and technical teams to translate requirements into practical, supportable solutions.
- Collaborate with functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
- Maintain clear functional and technical documentation, support procedures, decision logs, and knowledge articles.
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years supporting Workday in a production environment across Financials, HCM, Payroll, or Planning.
- Hands-on experience with Workday reports, calculated fields, security, business processes, integrations, and data validation.
- Familiarity with EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, XML, and XSLT.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, change control, and deployment support skills.
- Experience with ITIL/ITSM support processes and clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.
- Technical skills including Workday configuration, reporting, security, integration tools, REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, XML, XSLT, XPath, and integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi.
- Data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, validation, reporting, monitoring, and production support.
- Preferred: Workday integration-related certification or ITIL Foundation certification.
- Preferred: Experience with Workday implementations, data conversion, post-go-live stabilization, or major enhancements.
- Preferred: Experience with MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, PeopleSoft, or Atlassian.
