Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Development Engineer / Workday Benefits Developer to join the People Technology team and support large-scale HR transformation initiatives and ongoing Workday BAU operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Workday HCM, Benefits, business process and security configuration, advanced reporting, and integrations. This role will serve as a key technical partner to HR and corporate teams, providing end‑to‑end analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support across a complex global HR environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Workday incident and change requests across both transformation initiatives and ongoing BAU operations, ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder communication.
- Perform deep‑level analysis and consultation for Workday Benefits, HCM, reporting, dashboards, new features, and system enhancement opportunities.
- Provide end‑to‑end consulting for internal customers, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Design, configure, and implement Workday system enhancements while ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards, and HR processes.
- Develop and support Workday integrations using technologies such as EIB, Workday Studio, APIs, PECI, PICOF, and related integration capabilities.
- Create and support test scripts, troubleshoot complex system issues, document solutions, and partner with HR and corporate teams to drive continuous Workday improvements.
Must‑Have Skills
- Strong hands‑on Workday experience within a global HR transformation program, HRIS environment, or HR Operations/Shared Services organization.
- Expert‑level experience with Workday HCM configuration, including Business Process Configuration and Security Configuration.
- Advanced Workday Report Writer experience with the ability to develop complex reports and dashboards.
- Strong experience supporting Workday Benefits and related HCM functionality, including analysis, configuration, enhancements, and production support.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience with Workday integrations including EIB, Workday Studio, APIs, PECI, and PICOF.
- Cross‑module Workday experience with Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding, or Talent Management.
- Experience supporting Workday transformation programs, system implementations, and end‑to‑end HR technology improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as a Workday technical point of contact for complex transformation projects and BAU support.
- Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills within a global and matrixed organization.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple BAU requests, incidents, enhancements, and transformation initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
