Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Workday Functional Consultant to join our HR Strategy & Technology team in the United States. You will supportWorkday functional workstreams, gather requirements, and participate in client workshops to drive HR process optimization.

The role requires 1+ year in Workday HCM and 2+ years in consulting or HR/finance/tech, with 50% travel. Preferred certifications and Fortune 500 experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience supporting Workday HCM (HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Performance or Talent)
• 2+ years of experience gathering and documenting business requirements
• 2+ years of experience in consulting or in HR, finance, or technology
• Ability to travel 50% on average
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Workday HCM certification in one or more modules (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience serving Fortune 500 or equivalent clients
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and Microsoft PowerPoint for executive-level presentations
• Experience using Microsoft Visio to create process flows or technical diagrams

Responsibilities

• Supporting Workday functional workstreams for implementation and optimization projects
• Gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements related to HR processes and Workday functionality
• Participating in client workshops, demonstrations, and design discussions to support business process and system decisions
• Assisting with Workday configuration, testing, data validation, and end-user training activities
• Developing project deliverables, including process documentation, configuration guides, and training materials
• Lead projects or workstreams
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to provide clear guidance to others
