Job summary

Arch Capital Services LLC seeks a Workday compensation configuration specialist to lead annual cycle setup for ~7,500+ employees. You will configure, test, and validate core and advanced compensation, collaborate with People Operations, and ensure accurate rollouts across tenants.

The role demands 1–3 years Workday experience, Core HCM familiarity, strong Excel/Power Query skills, and precise documentation. Position is on-site in Raleigh, NC with a focus on governance and data security.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working with Workday, with exposure to Advanced Compensation concepts such as eligibility rules, plan configuration, and configurable grids.
• Familiarity with Workday Core HCM configuration.
• Working knowledge of compensation fundamentals, including incentive plan mechanics, bonus eligibility and accrual logic, pay structures, and job architecture.
• Established understanding of Excel to include Power Query and complex formulas.
• Strong attention to detail, with sound testing, validation, and documentation habits.
• Clear communicator, able to explain system concepts to non-technical HR and business stakeholders.
• Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Background in Information Systems is a plus.
• Workday certification in Advanced Compensation, or experience with implementation partners such as Kainos or TopBloc, is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute and validate pre-launch configurations for the annual compensation cycle across all active processes.
• Generate and update configurable grids, compensation matrices, comp review templates, and plan profiles prior to cycle launch.
• Execute plan rollouts and removals for eligible populations and validate accuracy across tenants.
• Collaborate with People Operations to build and validate the organizational structure for the annual compensation cycle for ~7,500+ employees.
• Support cycle execution by addressing routine system questions and escalating complex issues for review.
• Participate in post-cycle configuration reviews and sandbox validation prior to production changes.
• Coordinate testing for Core and Advanced Compensation configurations across tenants.
