Job summary

Washington State Department of Natural Resources seeks a Workday Business Specialist and Enterprise Business Analyst (MA5) to drive process improvements and Workday optimization. You will work with cross-functional teams to map requirements and align Workday with agency needs.

Role emphasizes problem solving, analytical reporting, and guiding changes from design through go-live, with hybrid work in Olympia and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, technology, business administration, or related field with two years in business analysis or similar.
• Experience in two or more areas: business analysis, continuous improvement, change management, project management, performance measurement, reporting.
• Experience creating tools, templates, work plans, and reporting with schedules and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with DNR staff at all levels.
• Lead complex, agency-wide efforts to define Workday functionalities.
• Create documentation aligning Workday with business requirements.
• Provide expert advice to management on Workday practices.
• Identify and address gaps between Workday and requirements.
• Analyze solutions and present recommendations to decision makers.
• Support staff and enable knowledge transfer during and after go-live.
