Job summary

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Olympia, WA, invites applicants for a Workday Business Analyst, Management Analyst 4 (MA4). This role supports the OneWA project, implementing Workday as the statewide ERP and financial system of record.

You will document business requirements, analyze gaps, assist with testing, and help drive business transformation across cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with accounting and financial principles.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree plus two years in business analysis or equivalent
Experience in two of: requirements development, system testing, defect tracking, continuous improvement, project management
Experience creating tools, templates, job aids, and training materials
Experience with process optimization and documenting requirements and recommendations
Experience with Workday or ERP tools and modules such as Core Financials or HCM

Responsibilities

Establish rapport with DNR staff at all levels
Lead cross‑functional work to analyze Workday functionalities to meet business requirements
Create documentation aligning Workday with DNR needs
Provide SME guidance to management and collaborators on DNR practices
Identify and elevate gaps in Workday functionality for resolution
Collaborate with teams to present gap resolution options to project leaders
Validate materials and maps with project teams and adapt them to DNR needs
Support staff during project execution and post‑go‑live sustainment
