Job summary

Bowdoin College is seeking a Budget and Financial Analyst to join the Treasurers Office. The role leads budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, leveraging Workday Financial Management and Workday Adaptive Planning to inform decisions.

The successful candidate will partner with budget managers, provide analytical insights, and guide expenditures of operating, gift, and endowment funds. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive budget and financial analysis, including variance reporting, forecasting, scenario modeling.
• Support annual budget process and reporting, with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with Controller’s Office to integrate budget data across systems.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all aspects of the budget process, including presentations for senior discussions.
• Ensure accurate integration of budget data between Workday Financial Management and Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, scenario modeling, and ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Serve as a resource for budget managers and campus departments on spending of operating, gift, and endowment funds.
• Review and approve budget changes and journal entries with leadership input.
