The Budget and Financial Analyst is an integral part of the College’s financial planning and budgeting team, working closely with the Vice President for Finance and Administration and Assistant Treasurer to support the institution’s long-term financial health and strategic goals. The position leads key budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting activities, using Workday Financial Management and Workday Adaptive Planning to help inform decision‑making. Serving as a valued partner to budget managers and departments, this individual provides guidance on budgeting, expenditures, and the effective use of operating, gift, and endowment funds. The role also assists with the annual budget process, and helps improve budget planning tools and processes. Success in this position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information in a clear and approachable way. The hiring range for this position is expected to be: $95,000 – $105,000 annually.
Required: B.S. in Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA, Workday Adaptive Planning Certification and/or Workday Financials Reporting Certification strongly preferred.
A minimum of 5 years related experience in a college or large non-profit accounting/budgeting environment or 3+ years experience with a public accounting firm required.

Standard administrative hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm. This is a full-time position working 40 hours/52 weeks, (1.00 FTE). Exempt positions require the time commitment necessary to complete the essential duties of the position.
Onsite – This is an on-site role, and candidates must be able to work in person on Bowdoin College Campus in Brunswick, Maine.
