Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking an Operating Budget Analyst to join the FP&A team. You will lead operating budget analysis, forecasting, variance reporting, and budget system administration, partnering with campus leaders to drive informed decisions and responsible resource stewardship.

The role emphasizes training users on Adaptive Planning and Workday, improving budgeting literacy, and delivering timely financial reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, data analytics, or related field.
Three years of budgeting, FP&A, accounting, finance, or related analytical work.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or related field strongly preferred.
Experience in higher education or public sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead operating budget analysis, forecasting, variance reporting, and budget system administration.
Provide training and support for Adaptive Planning and Workday budgeting.
Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports for stakeholders.
Develop dashboards, budgeting tools, and processes to improve transparency and efficiency.
Support budget development, monitoring, and year-end close processes.
