Job summary

William & Mary is seeking a Budget Planning Analyst to support long‑term financial planning using Workday and Adaptive. The role focuses on forecasting, model development, and data integrity across ERP and AFPA systems.

The analyst will create reports, train campus users, and participate in AFPA enhancements while aligning with budget operations and fiscal policies. A bachelor’s degree in finance or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or closely related field or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to review operating budgets and analyze trends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/update existing institutional financial forecasts, budget models, and reports.
• Assist in the development of new institutional financial forecasts and budget models.
• Ensure data integrity between the Workday ERP system and the Adaptive financial planning application and perform updates.
• Prepare budget reports, staffing reports and key financial performance metrics periodically.
