The Trio Programs Work-Study Student Assistant will assist in managing student files, data entry, and maintaining compliance documentation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with general office duties including filing, photocopying, answering phones, and maintaining records
- Support data entry into Blumen or other TRIO database systems for student attendance, contact logs, and workshop evaluations
- Help prepare materials for student workshops, college tours, tutoring sessions, and Saturday academies
- Assist staff in organizing and supervising student activities during the academic year or summer program

General Qualifications
- Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study
- Must be in good academic standing at the college/university
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Interest in education, social services, or youth development is preferred
Specific Qualifications
- Basic understanding of office procedures
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn federal TRIO program regulations and objectives
- Knowledge of or interest in college access and success initiatives for first-generation, income-eligible students.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
- Accurate data entry and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to assist with event logistics and workshop coordination
