Qualificações

• 5–8 years of progressive EHS experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Direct experience in food manufacturing, logistics, or multi-unit retail/hospitality preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910), DOT, and local fire codes.
• Bilingual in English and Korean preferred.
• Willing to work weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Proficient in English reading and writing.
• Ability to work independently.
• Preferred CSP/ASP, OSHA 30-Hour GI, HACCP certifications.

Job Description

JOB TITLE: Work Safety Manager

Job Type: Full Time Employee

DEPARTMENT: Risk Management Team / Work Safety (Part)

LOCATION: 6131 Orangethorpe Ave., Buena Park, CA, 90620

SUMMARY

This position will strategically plan, implement, and oversee all environmental, health, and safety programs across the company’s entire supply chain, including industrial bakery production plants, logistics/distribution centers, and retail store locations. This role ensures 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA (food safety intersections), and DOT regulations while cultivating a resilient, zero-incident safety culture from the manufacturing floor to the retail counter.

JOB DUTIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Food Plant Safety: Combustible Dust & Thermal Hazard, Ergonomics
• Logistics &Warehouse Safety: Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Fleet Safety & DOT (Department of Transportation) Compliance, Material Handling
• Retail Bakery Store Safety: Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention, Burn & Cut Prevention, Emergency Action Plan (EAP) design and train retail staff
• Corporate Compliance & Administration (Cross‑Sector): Regulatory Auditing (OSHA, EPA, and local health/fire department inspection, Incident Investigation (Lead root analysis. RCA) for all injuries, near‑misses, and property damage, and manage Work’s Compensation claims case tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5~8 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 2 years on managerial or supervisory role
• Industry Background: Direct experience in Food manufacturing (SQF, HACCP, Environments), logistics, or multi-unit retail / hospitality is highly preferred.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910), DOT compliance, and local fire codes.
• Bilingual (English and Korean), strongly preferred
• Must be able to work weekends or holidays, when necessary
• Must be proficient in English reading and writing
• Must be able to work independently
• Preferred Certificates: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional), OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification, HACCP or food Safety certification (a strong plus for understanding cross-contamination/sanitation safety)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL

• Travel: Up to 30~40% travel required to conduct site audits at regional warehouses and retail storefronts.
• Environmental: Exposure to variable environments, from noisy manufacturing floors and cold-storage distribution centers to fast-paced retail kitchens

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
