Job summary

Easy Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead our occupational health and safety program across manufacturing, maintenance, sanitation, warehousing, and facility operations.

You will be the site safety expert, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation, Quality, and HR to identify hazards, implement controls, and foster a safety culture on every shift. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, EHS, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of progressive safety/EHS experience in manufacturing, food processing, distribution, or similar environment.
• Experience running OSHA-compliant programs (LOTO, machine guarding, HazCom, PPE, powered industrial trucks, electrical safety).
• Experience with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA; strong documentation skills.

• Build, maintain, and improve safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as site OSHA expert, including 300/300A/301 recordkeeping and inspection readiness.
• Own Lockout/Tagout program, including procedures, training, and field audits.
• Lead machine guarding and risk assessments; participate in design/startup reviews.
• Run hazard assessments, JHAs/JSAs, inspections, and Gemba walks.
• Lead incident/nearmiss investigations with root-cause analysis and CAPA in MaintainX.
• Develop and deliver safety training in English and Spanish.
• Maintain emergency action plans and conduct drills.
• Set contractor safety expectations and review project safety.
• Track and report safety metrics to leadership; coach supervisors on safe work practices.

Job description

Easy Foods is looking for a Safety Manager to lead our occupational health and safety program across manufacturing, maintenance, sanitation, warehousing, and facility operations. You'll be the facility's go-to safety expert, working side by side with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation, Quality, and HR to find hazards, put effective controls in place, and build a safety culture that's part of how we run every shift. You'll be on the production floor daily, with the authority to stop work when a situation is unsafe.

What You'll Do

• Build, maintain, and improve safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Serve as the site expert on OSHA requirements, including 300/300A/301 recordkeeping and inspection readiness
• Own our Lockout/Tagout program, including machine-specific procedures, training, and field audits
• Lead machine guarding and risk assessments, and join equipment design, installation, and startup reviews
• Run hazard assessments, JHAs/JSAs, inspections, and Gemba walks
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations using root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to closure in MaintainX
• Develop and deliver safety training in English and Spanish
• Maintain emergency action plans and run drills
• Set contractor safety expectations and review project safety
• Track and report safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses, corrective-action closure, training completion) to leadership
• Coach supervisors and employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, EHS, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
• 5+ years of progressive safety/EHS experience in manufacturing, food processing, distribution, or a similar environment
• Proven experience running OSHA-compliant programs, including LOTO, machine guarding, HazCom, PPE, powered industrial trucks, and electrical safety
• Experience with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA
• Strong communication, training, and documentation skills, and the ability to influence people at every level
• Proficient in Spanish

Nice to Have

• High-volume food manufacturing experience
• CSP, ASP, OHST, or similar certification
• Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement background
• Experience with MaintainX or similar CMMS/EHS systems
