Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Software Engineer II for the Newbook Websites team. You will work on WordPress-based websites for the RV & camping industry, using PHP, MySQL, and modern JS/HTML/CSS.

AI-assisted development tools are integrated into daily workflows to speed delivery while ensuring quality and security. You will contribute to features, themes, plugins, and integrations, with WordPress REST API and deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on WordPress experience building/maintaining themes/plugins.
• Solid PHP & MySQL knowledge; modern JS/HTML/CSS on frontend.
• Ability to use AI-assisted tooling within the software lifecycle (code, tests, docs).
• Familiarity with WordPress REST API and WordPress blocks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop features and improvements for Newbook Websites built on WordPress.
• Use AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Build frontend experiences with modern JS/HTML/CSS; React a plus for interactive components.
• Collaborate across teams on CI/CD, AWS, deployment workflows, and performance.
