Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Web Platform Engineer to own the technical health of our website. You will manage the WordPress backend end-to-end, including hosting, plugins, security, performance, and integrations with HubSpot and the marketing stack.

You will work with the Front-End Designer & Developer, ensuring fast, secure, and compliant delivery while documenting standards and runbooks for the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend web development with WordPress experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience supporting a B2B SaaS marketing site is a plus.
• Strong PHP and MySQL, fluency with WordPress APIs (hooks/filters/REST).
• JavaScript ability to debug frontend-backend interactions.

Responsibilities

• Owns the WordPress backend, custom post types, taxonomies, fields, and plugin/theme functionality.
• Maintains plugin strategy and upgrade cadence; manages Elementor platform level.
• Maintains environments with version control and documented deployment.
• Owns site reliability, uptime, caching, CDN, SEO, and backups.
• Owns website security, MFA/SSO, vulnerability management, and incident runbook.
• Ensures GDPR/CCPA compliance and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility remediation.
• Manages SEO, crawlability, sitemaps, schema, SEMrush monitoring, and GA4/GTMs.
• Builds integrations between WordPress, HubSpot and marketing systems via APIs.
• Documents architecture, credentials, processes, and QA standards.
