Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Build and modify plugins to extend functionality and understand when to use existing plugins vs. custom solutions.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including updates to core, plugins, themes, and database optimization.
• Collaborate with design team to convert visual concepts into functioning code with SEO and accessibility in mind.
• Debug and resolve issues with website functionality, performance, and security.
• Support content migration, importing/exporting, and setting up new WordPress environments.
• Assist in implementing analytics, tracking, and security plugins and customizing the admin experience.

You will be an integral part of our web development department, contributing to the creation and maintenance of high-quality, responsive websites.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day development and upkeep of WordPress-based websites. Working closely with our designers and project managers, you will translate design mockups into functional, accessible, and performant web pages. You'll troubleshoot issues, optimize site speed, and ensure security best practices.
