Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a Wood Coatings Technical Service Representative, TEXAS - HOME BASED, to leverage your wood coatings application experience in a field-based, remote role. This position emphasizes collaboration with sales and lab teams to support coating deployments.

Travel up to 50-60% regionally and overnight; Spanish bilingual skills are a huge plus. You will train customers, perform color matching, document field results, and help meet performance requirements on designated accounts.

Qualifications

• A four-year college degree in coatings or related field is required.
• Willingness to travel 50-60% regionally and out of town, overnight.
• Bilingual in Spanish; wood coatings spray experience with water-based, solvent-based, and UV-curables.
• Strong color matching skills and ability to train customer shop floor employees.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and set up daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for field and lab.
• Communicate clearly with immediate concerns related to product performance, customers’ needs.
• Communicate with the lab through documentation and coating performance requirements.
• Qualify coating modifications and product developments; verify results in the lab.
• Ability to communicate clearly on applications and coating performance for training and education.
• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management.
