Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Shelter Monitor to support female residents in a 24-hour shelter. You will enforce program rules, perform intake, log entries, provide referrals, and help maintain a safe, clean living environment.

Collaborating with administration, case management, and security staff, you will address behavior issues, assist with sleep and bathroom access, and support residents in daily activities while upholding dignity and respect.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in the human service or customer service field, preferably with persons who are homeless.
• Basic computer skills in MS Office Software, web browsing, and navigation of MS Windows platform; willingness to be trained on developing computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs intake for all clients and reports behavior issues to the program manager or case management team.
• Maintains log entries for assigned shift and documents information in logbook.
• Provides referrals as necessary and crisis intervention when needed.
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the facility and dorm areas.
• Enforces rules and mediates conflicts among residents; ensures safety of clients and staff.
