Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse Floater for Women’s Services to provide flexible, high-quality patient care across multiple units. The Float Pool RN supports Nursing Services, combining clinical excellence with efficient teamwork to meet varying patient needs during shifts.

The role requires BSN preferred and current compact RN licensure; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NVCI are expected. Typical duties include routine nursing care, IV starts, and rapid response in acute settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current compact RN licensure in applicable state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NVCI.

Responsibilities

• Float Pool RN rotates across units to meet patient care needs.
• Provide continuous quality patient care in diverse clinical settings.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe patient transfers and care continuity.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses in the chart.
