Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - Wiring Assemblies in Beachwood, OH. You will lead a team responsible for developing supplier manufacturing capability, capacity, and readiness for wiring assemblies, driving performance improvements and cost-effective sourcing.

You will partner with Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to ensure suppliers meet quality, delivery, cost, and growth objectives while establishing governance and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, or related technical discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier development strategy for regions, commodities, or business segments.
• Lead and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers with defined performance expectations.
• Provide oversight of supplier capability, manufacturing, operational, and capacity risk assessments.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process capability improvements for supplier manufacturing.
• Lead capacity planning, scalability, and readiness to support forecasted demand and growth.
• Ensure readiness for new product launches, capacity expansions, and supplier transitions.
• Establish governance for supplier capability assessments, audits, and development planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier readiness throughout product development and launch.
• Align supplier development priorities with business objectives with senior leadership.
• Monitor KPIs for supplier development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote standardization and knowledge sharing across supplier networks globally.
