Job summary

BearCom in Tempe/Phoenix area is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems for public safety and enterprise customers.

The role emphasizes customer service, reliability, and problem-solving, with on-site duties such as basic programming, installations, and occasional travel. A strong electronics background and a valid driver’s license are preferred; BearCom provides on-the-job training and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic Electronics background (12V and/or low-voltage systems).
• RF/telecommunications networking experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Drug screenings, MVR, and background checks are part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Create Basic Programming Codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Basic Mobile Installations (Radio, Antenna, Modem, DC-DC Converters).
• Troubleshoot and repair defective two-way radios and other wireless equipment.
• Some regional and/or overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
