Job summary

BearCom is hiring a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be on-site at client locations, delivering high-quality service and imaginative solutions to meet complex needs.

The role emphasizes basic programming, fault-finding, and hands-on troubleshooting, with travel and on-call requirements. Extensive on-the-job training and certification assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• For 3+ years, diagnose, repair, program and install Motorola/Kenwood/ICOM/Vertex gear in radio/communications.
• Familiar with RF theory and system concepts across frequency bands.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
• Experience with test equipment and DAS/BDA systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and support wireless communications systems and equipment.
• Create basic programming codeplugs with limited channels.
• Troubleshoot and repair radios, power supplies, antennas, and related gear.
• Travel regionally and occasional overnight stays may be required.
