Job summary

BearCom in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems for public safety and enterprise customers. You will work directly with customers, ensure quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness, and apply basic programming codeplugs and mobile installations.

You should have a basic electronics background, RF/telecom/ networking familiarity, and a valid driver's license. Some travel and on-call hours are required.

Qualifications

• Basic Electronics Background (12V and/or Low-Voltage System).
• RF/Telecommunications/Networking experience a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Install and support wireless communications systems for customers.
• Create Basic Programming Codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Perform Basic Mobile Installations (Radio, Antenna, Modem, DC-DC Converters).
• Troubleshoot and repair defective two-way radios and related equipment.
• Some regional travel and on-call hours may be required.
