Job summary

BearCom in Oklahoma City is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems. You will perform basic programming, mobile installations, and on-site troubleshooting to ensure reliable service for customers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of service technician experience with two-way radios, strong electronics knowledge, and a valid driver's license. BearCom provides extensive on-the-job training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years service technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory, RF propagation, and system troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret schematics and operate test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create basic programming codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Perform basic mobile installations (radio, antenna, modem, DC-DC converters).
• Troubleshoot and repair defective two-way radios and wireless equipment; regional travel possible.

Skills

3+ years service technician experience
