Armanino in Chicago is seeking an entry-level State and Local Tax Associate to support income and franchise tax work, forecasting and return reviews. You will research SALT matters, coordinate accruals, and help clients navigate multi-state tax requirements.

Strong Excel skills and a CPA-eligible candidate, or CPA, will thrive here in a collaborative, client-focused team with opportunities for growth and flexible work arrangements.

Formación

• 0-1 years of state and local tax experience in public accounting or related field.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or a CPA or other relevant certification.
• Excellent computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word; knowledge of OneSource, GoSystems a plus.
• Strong knowledge of tax reporting, research, and multi-state tax planning.
• Preferred knowledge of Power-BI, Alteryx, advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Preferred Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation.

Responsabilidades

• Apportionment and revenue sourcing for income, business activity and indirect taxes.
• State tax forecasting, tax planning and deep knowledge of tax law.
• Coordinate US State and Local income and franchise tax accrual process.
• Manage State and Local tax return review.
• Represent client in Tax Controversies and implement state tax planning for entities.
• Support tax engine consulting, optimization, training and implementation.
• Areas of concentration include income/franchise taxes, licenses, sales/use taxes, and incentives.
• Develop tools to help clients manage tax compliance efficiently.
• Make recommendations on SALT process improvements.
