Andersen is seeking a Senior Associate in our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice in Los Angeles. You will join engagement teams serving Fortune 500 clients and startups, reviewing tax returns, supporting audits, and guiding junior staff.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of tax experience, a relevant degree, and credentials like CPA/JD; opportunities include formal training and a supportive mentorship culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Advanced credential or plan to obtain credential for IRS client representation (CPA/JD).
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient use of technology.

Responsabilités

• Review and prepare state and local income tax returns.
• Provide tax controversy audit support.
• Assist in project management of compliance/consulting engagements and identify client solutions.
• Conduct research to stay current on legislative changes.
• Draft and review memoranda and client deliverables.
• Assist with Nexus Studies preparation and review.
• Supervise and mentor Associates and Interns.
• Participate in formal SALT training and internal/external education.

Bachelor's degree

Advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD)
