Job summary

Constellation is seeking a SALT Senior Analyst in Chicago to apply state and local tax knowledge, assist audits, advise on planning opportunities, and draft memoranda. You will review returns and support corporate taxes including income, franchise, and transactional taxes while staying current on tax developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of state sales/use and/or income/franchise tax consulting and planning, or 4+ years in a related role at a large firm.
• Strong research and writing abilities; excellent verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve state tax issues related to returns and planning.
• Assist with implementing state tax planning strategies and minimize tax burden.
• Review tax workpapers, schedules, and state tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare supporting memoranda (e.g., ASC 740) and stay updated on developments.
