Qualifications

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read site plans.
• Excellent math proficiency to accurately establish a finalized estimate.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish proficiency in estimating software, CRM, and Microsoft Office environment.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications submitted by salesperson through the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
• If necessary, meet with salesperson and/or client for clarification
• Visually inspect potential job sites, performing on-site measurements if required to estimate the labor and equipment required
• Collect quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Work with Project and Operations Managers and branch buyers to answer any questions about product
• Compute cost proposal by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
• Build proposal in current bidding software
• Use CRM to submit accurate proposals to salesperson in a timely manner
• Perform analysis on previous proposals to determine accuracy and opportunities for improvement
• Understand and use appropriate estimating principles in creating proposals
