Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC invites applications for an Associate (Level 2) Structures Design Engineer to join the Wing & Empennage Life Cycle Product Team. You will work on structural requirements, 3-D CAD designs, and validation activities across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a B.S. in Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and MB Design proficiency, with preference for composite structures and experience on wing/empennage components.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials Sciences.
• 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of experience with aircraft structural design.
• Experience working in a Model Based Design (MBD) environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop, integrate and document structural requirements for wing/empennage design.
• Develops and modifies structural designs using 3-D CAD to provide product definition across lifecycle.
• Performs tests to validate systems and components meet requirements.
