Job summary

BOTTAIA Winery in Temecula is seeking a Winery General Manager to own property revenue, drive guest experiences, and grow the business. Lead a hospitality and sales team, with responsibility for tasting room, wine club, events, and annual programming.

The role requires a seasoned leader with a strong sales track record, P&L experience, and deep wine knowledge; WSET or Sommelier certification valued but not required. On-property leadership with weekends/evenings flexibility.

Qualifications

• Approx. 10 years in hospitality, winery, or luxury retail, with 5+ years leading teams and managing financial performance.
• Demonstrated sales record; accountable for achieving revenue goals.
• Experience managing a P&L, budgets, labor, operating expenses, pricing and profitability.
• Strong leadership to develop supervisors and maintain a positive hospitality culture.
• Strong wine knowledge and ability to establish a wine education and service standard.
• POS, wine club/DTC, reservation and reporting systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Own property revenue and P&L; act on performance above/below plan.
• Drive traffic, maximize tasting, wine, food & beverage, retail, events revenue.
• Grow wine club membership, retention, and engagement with experiences.
• Lead tasting room operations with supervisor and floor team.
• Own pool operations and seasonal programming at The Pool at BOTTAIA.
• Oversee food & beverage guest and financial performance.
• Plan calendar of tastings, events and partnerships; develop private events revenue.
• Build and lead a high-performing hospitality and sales team; coach supervisors.
