Job summary

Ponte Winery, Bottaia Winery and Ponte Vineyard Inn in Temecula, CA, seeks an HR & Talent Operations Manager to drive full HR execution across three properties. This hands-on role protects the company through proactive compliance, disciplined recruiting, documented processes, and strong employee relations.

The position requires 7-10+ years in HR leadership within fast-paced hospitality. Reports to the COO and collaborates with payroll through the Controller to maintain compliant practices.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years progressive HR leadership experience.
• Multi-location hospitality, hotel, or restaurant group experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters independently.
• Strong working knowledge of California labor law.
• Experience managing workers comp and leave administration.

Responsibilities

• Own recruitment for all non-executive roles across three properties.
• Build structured hiring systems and reduce time-to-fill.
• Recruit and vet management-level candidates.
• Develop succession bench for key operational roles.
• Lead investigations and corrective action processes.
• Coach managers to address issues directly and appropriately.
• Ensure consistent application of policies.
• Oversee wage-hour compliance in California.
• Oversee leave administration (FMLA, CFRA, etc.).
• Install standardized onboarding procedures.
