Job summary

BBR IMPORTS INC. in Houston seeks a Wine Sales Representative to wholesale our exclusive wine portfolio to restaurants, wine bars and retailers. You will travel to clients, host tastings, and expand the market presence in The Houston & Greater Area.

You will open new accounts, manage client relationships, stay ahead of market trends, and report progress to management. A passion for French wines and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years sales experience, adult beverage sales preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Houston restaurant & bar scene.
• Passion and knowledge of French wines and regions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently.
• Ability to organize engaging wine tastings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel within the allocated area and surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts through cold calling, in-person visits, and networking in the restaurant/bar/retail sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers; provide excellent service.

Based in Houston, we are looking for an ambitious and driven Wine Sales Representative to help expand our market presence in The Houston & Greater Area restaurants/bar scene.

Job Description

As Wine Sales Representative for BBR IMPORTS, you will play a vital role in growing our business by wholesaling our exclusive wine portfolio to restaurants, wine bars, and specialty retailers.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Opening New Accounts: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, in-person visits, and networking within the restaurant/bar/retail industry.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with new and existing customers. Deliver exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
• Wine Tastings: Organize and conduct wine tastings for clients and staff to showcase our products. Educate clients on the unique qualities and stories behind our wines.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress. Provide regular updates and reports to management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in sales… adult beverage sales is preferred
• Understanding of the HOUSTON restaurant & bar scene
• Strong knowledge and passion for French wines, including an understanding of various wine regions and grape varieties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and foster long-term relationships.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and conduct engaging and informative wine tastings.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel within the allocated area and surrounding regions as needed.
