Job summary

Biltmore Estate is hiring Wine Servers/Tasting Room Hosts to deliver a warm, professional guest experience while showcasing our wine portfolio. You will guide guests through tastings, answer questions about wines and Asheville, and promote memberships as part of a high-volume, hospitality-focused team.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining the tasting room, tracking inventory, and upselling wines and merchandise. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous guest service experience required; upscale setting preferred.
• Strong commitment to world-class guest service and gracious hospitality.
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills are essential.
• Able to learn Biltmore wines, winemaking, and Asheville area knowledge.
• Ability to use active listening and suggestive selling techniques.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor per Biltmore standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Tasting Room for daily activities.
• Greet guests warmly and professionally.
• Track wine inventory and usage daily.
• Assist guests in selecting wines that fit their preferences.
• Promote the Wine Club to guests.
• Assist with Wine Club Lounge operations and tours.
• Close and tidy the Tasting Room at day end.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area while handling high guest volume.
