Job summary

Montage Deer Valley is seeking a Sommelier (Full Time) to lead wine service across outlets, lounges and banquets. You will mentor bartenders and servers, guide guests through our wine list with expert recommendations, and train associates in wine regions, varietals, and service standards.

You will maintain the wine cellar, monitor storage conditions, inventory and rotation, and collaborate with management on beverage costs and pricing.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and train others in wine service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions.
• Guide guests through the wine list with detailed descriptions and recommendations.
• Educate associates about wine regions, varietals, and food pairings through training sessions.
• Maintain the wine cellar with proper temperature, humidity and stock rotation.
• Oversee beverage costs, pricing and inventory with Management.
