Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Sommelier to lead wine service across outlets and banquets with a focus on guest engagement and education. You will mentor staff, guide guests through wine selections, and ensure precise service standards in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Assist in administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions, and mentor staff
• Guide guests through the wine list with detailed descriptions and recommendations
• Engage guests in discussions about wine and share knowledgeable anecdotes
• Educate associates about wine regions, varietals, flavors, and pairings
• Conduct associate training on wine service standards and pouring techniques
• Provide ongoing mentorship to develop wine knowledge and service skills
• Maintain the wine cellar with proper temperature and storage conditions
• Perform regular inventory audits and track cellar rotation to minimize waste
• Collaborate with restaurant management on beverage costs and pricing
• Maintain wine and cocktail lists with Bartenders and Beverage Managers
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings to align on service
• Deliver wow moments by meeting guests’ expectations and needs
• Perform other duties as needed by business demands

Responsibilities
