Job summary

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is seeking a Part-Time Wine Ambassador to educate guests and promote wine through engaging tastings. You will conduct tastings, encourage sales, maintain wine inventory, and ensure a clean, fast-paced service area with high guest interaction.

Applicants must be 21+ and have a High School Diploma or GED. You should be outgoing and eager to learn about wine, including sampling and regional history, and be available two full days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Outgoing and professional; able to learn wine characteristics, tasting, and regional history.
• Must be able to remain standing for up to eight hours.
• Two full days of availability required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wine tastings and educate guests on wine characteristics, history, and regions.
• Encourage sales of tastings, samplings, glasses, or bottles.
• Maintain wine inventory on the sales floor and in back stock.
• Keep wine testing area clean and organized.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with high guest interaction.

What you ger to do as a Part-Time Wine Ambassador at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

The Wine Ambassador is responsible for educating guests and promoting wine to guests by conducting professional wine tasting experiences.

• Conduct Wine Tastings while educating guests on the characteristics of the different wines, their history, region, etc.
• Suggestively encourage the sale of a tasting, trio sampling, glass, or bottle sale.
• Maintain wine inventory on sales floor and back stock notifying supervisor of needs for wines and production supplies.
• Keep wine testing area clean and organized.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with high guest interaction.

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma / GED preferred
• Must be outgoing and professional, with the ability to become knowledgeable about wine, including sampling and learning characteristics of different wines, history, region, etc.
• Must be able to remain standing for up to eight hours
• Two full days of availability required

Compensation: 12.77 USD
