Job summary

United Parks & Resorts operates Busch Gardens Williamsburg and is seeking a Part-Time Traffic Ambassador to help manage guest flow and traffic safety. You will direct vehicles, assist guests with directions, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced park setting.

Position requires effective communication, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and adaptability to changing conditions. Perks include free park admission, ticket discounts, and scholarship opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures while controlling crowds at loading and unloading.
• Direct traffic on roadways to park and exit Busch Gardens property.
• Assist guests with vehicular problems and give directions upon request.
• Follow safety procedures and uphold park equipment standards.
• Operate with guest service in mind at all times.
• Direct cars, buses, campers to daily assigned lots and set up cones as needed.
• Report issues to leadership and maintain clear communication about traffic flow.

What you get to do as a Part-Time Traffic Ambassador:

• Follow proper procedures while controlling crowds at loading and unloading
• Direct traffic on roadways to park and exit Busch Gardens property
• Assist guests with vehicular problems and give directions upon request
• Follow safety procedures
• Assist in upholding company standards of maintaining company equipment
• Operate with guest service in mind at all times
• Assist with traffic control and parking as necessary
• Directing cars, buses, campers, etc. to daily assigned lots
• Setting up cones in various traffic patterns as assigned by supervisor
• Adapt quickly to changing work conditions to ensure timely guest/traffic flow
• Report vehicle traffic and guest issues to leadership as appropriate
• Maintain communication with leadership and other team members about changing traffic flow
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Lifting and pulling trash bags from parking lots into disposals
• Answer questions and resolve guest issues
• Assist in other areas of Guest Arrival as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 16 years old
• Ability to communicate effectively, including speaking on a microphone
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Be exposed to fumes, dust, and/or odor
• Be exposed to loud noises

Compensation: 12.77 USD
