Job summary

Carlex Glass America, LLC in Indiana is seeking a Laboratory Windshield Tester to support glass testing operations. You will collect samples, cut windshields, and prepare specimens for a variety of tests on windshields.

The role requires at least 1 year of lab testing experience; 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends/holidays may be required. You'll work in a safety-driven environment with opportunities for additional certifications and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related lab-based testing experience.
• Glass industry experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect windshield samples.
• Cut windshields to create test samples.
• Prepare samples for specific tests.
• Conduct body glass fragmentation tests.
• Test water softener system for each windshield line.
• Conduct Distortion, Moisture, Pummel, Light Transmission, Boil testing, Ball Drop testing, Opacity testing analysis for all windshield parts.
• Conduct Robustness testing as needed.
• Conduct follow up testing for non-compliant product.
• Additional testing for European and Asian Market parts.
