Job summary

Apptad Inc in Orlando, FL is seeking a Windows/VMware Technical Lead to own enterprise infrastructure, lead on-premises and cloud migrations, and guide incident response. This role requires hands-on expertise across Windows Server environments and VMware virtualization, with a focus on patching, security hardening, lifecycle upgrades, and automation.

Lead Windows Server infrastructure administration and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Lead administration and support of Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
Manage and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter with cluster management, HA, DRS, and storage optimization.
Own enterprise patching lifecycle for Windows OS and VMware stack; ensure monthly patch cycles and rollback plans.
Perform vulnerability management and security hardening across infrastructure.
Oversee OS and VMware upgrades; lifecycle management and migrations (P2V, V2V, on-prem to cloud).
Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives to reduce manual effort.
Perform RCA for major incidents; maintain SLAs and MTTR targets; participate in on-call escalations.
Maintain documentation; ensure ITIL processes and audit/compliance readiness.
Share relevant hands-on L3 experience with stakeholders; client-facing onsite engagements.
